My apologies from the lack of Coscon update. The basic rundown is this. Saturday was more comic based so I embraced my inner geek and took a few peeks at the comics on display. I met =hexlord at the doors and he dragged me and a few people in. <3 For you Usa-chan, thank you so much! I wasn't cosplaying, haha.

The boys all jammed it out in Guitar Hero and I just lol'ed at the sidelines because well, I fail at Guitar Hero. And then they all went off to play Magic. Yeah. I kinda headbangs somewhere around that area. And then we all split up and had dinner.

I met `zemotion and bought her amazing book Something Beautiful and let me assure you, this is a book to buy. While me and two of the boys went for dinner, I sent the two slaves to get me food while I carefully looked through the book. If you are a watcher of `zemotion please support her efforts as this photography book is one that is worth buying.

Coscon Day 2 was quite hilarious really. I was troubled before the event so seeing everyone cheered me up. Thank you to Mr Moomoo/Iamacow for letting me hijack his camera. (And lens. I kinda died from the weight)


Well. I'm happy and sad on both aspects. I went late to Day 1 of Cosfest VII. I'm mainly unhappy about cosplay. Just for a note, I apologise for my crappy standard of cosplay as my original plans were Lili from Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection and the second day originally was DOD: Shall but as there was a clash with plans and whatnot, I had to find alternatives. And fast.

So I had to literally run around insanely, grabbing whatever I could and nag people to death for suggestions. In the end my results were:
- Kotonoha Katsura from School Days - FINALE
- Artbook Rosiel from Angel Sanctuary

All of these were done under extremely rushed and stressed and rather upsetting and annoying circumstances, I pulled together a half-hearted effort, forced myself to keep composure and ended up at Cosfest, armed and ready (Literally).




Kotonoha Katsura + Rei = Irony

Rei: Loud, figureless, medium length hair and hyper as a bunny.

Kotonoha: Quiet, with a figure, long hair and shy.

Only similarities: insanity and perhaps the ability to wear thigh high socks for a full day.

YEEEEEEAH, totally working out there. Anyways, I bloodied up a (cake) knife, put a bandage on the handle, dragged together a uniform, altered the buttons on it and died from heatstroke. Well, not really died, but you get the basic drift. I wonder how many people recognised the series; either that or I screwed up big time. I'm more inclined to believe the latter.

I arrived late and left early as I had a family dinner to attend. After the dinner, the boys were dragged off to Mos Burger to gain back their lost HP. Dad sent us home. All. Six. Of. Us. I fell asleep in the car. *FAIL* D: And then head the bed when I got home.



Cross is credited to my lovely slaves/boys/friends/people who I begged to make it for me. This is a last minute cosplay thrown together. The artbook version of Rosiel from Angel Sanctuary. I suddenly realised this later on in the car: Did anyone recognise the character or were people just interested in the short-shorts? *headbang*

Anyways, I walked around alone for a bit, hung out with Usa-chan briefly, looked for people I knew, chatted a few times. And then came the cross with Ben and Dennis. But I had my traditional moment of: O___O WTF, CAMERAS

I was lying down and then I heard shutters. Open my eyes and look up to see cameras. My reaction, 'what the'? SLAVES, FRIENDS, WHERE ARE YOU?! Laughing on the sidelines. Yes. No rescue team. I was kinda...grounded for a bit as well; I couldn't move my arms to block out the sunlight and I couldn't look away because of the camera and I couldn't move because I was tired. Later on, I was sitting and listening and then more shutters.

Uh...yeah. *sheepish* I doubt I was that photogenic but uhm...thank you anyone that took a photo, despite my laziness/crankiness. I sat down and chilled out with a few people. After that, I said my goodbyes and had to go to ANOTHER family dinner.

Despite it all, I managed to cosplay both days, make some friends, see old friends, enjoy myself and laugh a lot. Not so sure about the picture upload as I haven't got all of them back yet. But thank you everyone for the AMAZING WEEKEND.


First of all, I want to improve. I want to improve and be happy with the end result, not whine about it through the event and whatnot. It's annoying for me and probably everyone around me. Second, I need to choose characters and STICK TO THEM. Flaky is getting me nowhere. But I'm unsure for what cosplay I will be doing for September Animania as it is very nearby. But I have tenative plans for the rest of this year on the next.

EOY is a secret project. Definitely a secret project with Ben and I hope to god I pull it off. It's going to be a pain and I'll need to save but it's one of my dream cosplays so I think it'll be worth it.

Comic Fiesta - If I ever go, I'll reuse EOY for Day 1 and probably rush like mad for Day 2. Maybe I'll use SOY '09 or recycle Haruhi. But the idea of Kureha from Shining Tears X Wind is very tempting.

SOY '09 - So far, the idea of Tifa is quite tempting. Tifa Lockheart or Rinoa Heartilly. No idea why but the designs look quite nice. Maybe if I'm motivated enough, I can get Tifa done for September and reuse it? Hm...

Friday Night... Well, I like the idea of Al Azif *shot* Haha, Kureha from Shining Tears X Wind is again very tempting.
Saturday; Asuka Langley Soryuu's plugsuit is such a nice idea, don't you think? HAHA, WHO AM I KIDDING?! If I can't manage that, maybe the uniform?
Sunday ~ EOY REUSE BECAUSE IT WILL BE EPIC!

Cosfest '09:
Saturday - Oh jeez... Well if all goes well, I'll make atonements for my flakiness this year, buckle down and have myself cosplay Lili from Tekken 5: DR/Tekken 6. Her promotional/second player outfit. It's yet another dream cosplay which I'm rather disappointed about throwing out the window for this Cosfest.
Sunday - Who knows?

And that's as far as I go down the road. For now, I'll work on Tifa Lockheart and my EOY cosplay because those are the two that I have my mind set on at the moment. EOY especially!

I really must learn how to update my journal on a REGULAR BASIS. No haircut pics because now my hair looks basically the same. Just imagine it thinner? XD Anyways, new ongoings; my exams are right around the corner and I'm stressing. I'm trying to think of what else to photograph besides people.

Out of interest, what do you think makes a photographer? I personally think it's the will to learn and improve and to open yourself to different styles, images and ideas. Well, I could go on a long winded description but I'd love to hear everyone's opinions as well!

I enjoyed shooting ~Mint-ice-tea as Jin. I find it more entertaining to be behind a camera, not in front of it. Not to mention I'm less self conscious. Anyways, kindly stop drooling over your computer screens, we all know he's an awesome Jin. Pardon my horrid watermarks because it would seem that I am yet to create a pretty one. Hm...I'm off to scheme.

SG on 21th of June! I shall hopefully see you all on the 29th of June of Coscon? <3 Hope I do because I miss you a lot! I shall hopefully be cosplaying for both events and all days! We shall see, ja ne! <3

As pointless as it sounds, I am going to get my haircut in well...moments away. (most likely in half an hour). My hair is still brown with REGROWTH _{oh the woe, oh the woe} and I shall be cutting it and possibly thinning it because I have super thick hair. Bleh. But most importantly, I shall be getting my fringe trimmed because as of recently (well, the last three months), it's becoming the SuperEmo Fringe of Doom and Vision Hindering and my mother detests it.

I laugh at it.

I believe ~OfStarlitNights and I have made some jokes about it as there are many girls at our school who have their hair intentionally veiling their face. I dislike using pins to pull my hair back. I'm weird in the sense that hairbands are accessories, never to pull the hair back. Oh and my emo fringe is not very emo.

I shall miss my longish-medium hair. I personally have no idea how short it'll become but definitely not as short as it was in WISH. In total honesty, I wish my hair was longer but at the moment, it seems to REFUSE TO GROW. I shall probably reupdate this journal with pictures of the haircut. That is, if I like it. *WOES*

Oh and yes, I shall put the features later and upload something later. PPM is very soon and I'm angsting over my cosplay. ~OfStarlitNights and I have started the painting and I need to finish sometime this week. ARGH! My father shall be visiting me next week, yays! MacBeth is also due next week. Proposal due this week. I passed my HPE exam (surprised, aren't you?)

ALL IN ALL, I AM STRESSED AND BUSY!

Oh and I have been pondering over le hair. I like it brown. A lot of people like it black and a few like it brown. I LIKES IT BROWN BUT I HATES ZE REGROWTH! ...I don't like bleaching and I don't like the idea of streaking. What is the point of this little rant? I SHALL HAVE MY HAIR BROWN! No idea when I shall rebrownify it but I swear one day I will!

I know this is such a shameless thing to do but if anyone can track me down scans of the Fushigi Yuugi artbook, I will be eternally grateful; I fell in love with the art style and I love Yuu Watase. Admittedly, the plotline makes me O__o; at times but I stuck to the series to the end and will start on GK when I find the scanlations.

Code Geass. All I can say about episode two, in agreement with =hexlord.
